Marsha’s personal journey in creating art began as a child where she learned to draw with pastels. Marsha loved the way she could blend colors together. During art appreciation in college, she was intrigued by Renoir and the way he was able to capture the spirit of life in his work.
The first time she saw one of his paintings, Marsha made up her mind that she would stive to capture the spirit of life in her paintings as well. She fell in love with oil painting as a young adult when she took lessons to learn how to properly manipulate oil on canvas to achieve a desired result.
Marsha loved how she could control the colors she was using and relay the feeling of her art. She chased the beauty and majesty of the world we live in, trying to capture it in her painting’s. She diligently sought to bring more light into her art and was inspired by the work of Thomas Kinkade, “The Painter of Light.”
While pursuing her love of art, she worked full time as a Registered Nurse in ICU while raising a family with her husband. However, the fast pace of life could not keep her away from finding the time to paint and open the Golden Chalice Art Company. The Golden Chalice Art Company specialized in greeting cards that displayed the beautiful paintings she had done throughout the years.
For over a decade she volunteered through church to help those who were wounded or in crisis. Out of her desire to facilitate healing for not only the physical body, but the spirit as well, Marsha felt an urge to communicate what she saw of the human condition.
Born out of an understanding of the care she gave she was inspired to begin creating on canvas those sometimes, unshared feelings. During quiet time of early morning hours she receives inspiration for what she creates on canvas.
